While there are no regular mountain flights in Bhutan, it's possible to charter aircraft from DrukAir or private Bhutan Airlines. The mountain flight takes about 1 hour and is done in early morning when there are greates chances for clear visibility.
During a flight you'll be heading eastwards along the northern border of the country seeing all the major peaks of Bhutan on the way. This starts with Jomolhari (7,326 m), Jitchu Drake (6,989 m), Tserim Kang (6,789 m), Masagang (7194m), Kula Kangri (7,538 m) and other. After reaching to Gangkhar Punesum (7,570 m), which is not only highest mountain of Bhutan but also the highest peak not ever conquered by mountaineers, the plane will take U-turn and will get back to Paro.
Flight can be performed with Airbus A319 or ATR 42-500 aircrafts. The cost is totally depending on number of people who will order the flight. While for 1 person the cost is many thousands USD, for the groups of 10 and more it can be reduced for mere few hundreds per person.
