Royal Thimphu Golf Club located just beside the ancient Tashicho Dzong castle was officially inaugurated in 1971. Since then the golf became quite popular sport among Bhutanese businessmen and higher officials.

There is no need for reservation, and you can hire the clubs as well as a caddy. Only in case you come during the weekend, you need to expect to wait some time to tee.

In any case, the green in Thimphu is extraordinarily beautiful with great surroundings, and you can spend great morning or afternoon time.
