Team Firefox Tours rock! My travelmate and i enjoyed our 11-day trip to Bhutan tremendously. The entire trip was matched exactly to our original brief right at the start - we wanted to spot a lot of birds but not necessarily stay in one place to hunt down any particular targets. The rest was handled ably and comprehensively by the Firefox Tours team.
Our guide & drive - Mr Dorji & Mr Ohm - were exceptional. Mr Dorji had an exceptional ability to spot birds, even if he wasn't always completely sure of what birds we were seeing, but more importantly, we were learning and discovering along with him. Mr. Ohm was an able driver who navigated the winding routes with years of skill and experience - we never felt any motion sickness throughout.
The accommodations - there were a couple of adjustments to this from the original schedule so there were some places where we made do with what was available. However, this is not in any way a complaint about the places we had stayed because they were all good. We appreciated the upgrade at the beautiful Willing Resort (Trongsa) and once we got there, we felt like we could have done an additional night in Berti Ecolodge (Tingtibi). But above all, the decision to finish off our trip with some luxury - Firefox Tours had graciously recommended Zhiwaling Heritage over our initial ask for the Aman Resort and this was the overwhelmingly the best choice of the trip.
We can't thank Firefox Tours enough for making this such a memorable trip for us. We shall attempt to pay it forward by recommending you to anyone who asks us about our trip.
