An absolutely wonderful adventure that will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Bhutan has been our dream since our first trek in Nepal in 2008. Since then, we've trekked five times in the Nepalese Himalayas, and Bhutan still seemed out of reach. It took us 18 years to fulfill this dream, but it was worth it. My wife and I decided to entrust this expedition to Firefox Tours, a Bhutanese agency run by Michal Thoma and Dawa Dorji Tamang. From their offer, we chose the "Historical Heart of Bhutan I" program (10 days/9 nights), allowing us to see the most beautiful places in Bhutan. The trip was perfectly planned, with excellent hotels, delicious local cuisine, a great driver, and an absolutely fantastic guide, Dorje, who became our friend and thanks to whom we understood the phenomenon of Bhutan. Wonderfully situated dzongs, charming old monasteries, beautiful valleys, and scenic passes, all in a leisurely, peaceful rhythm. And the most beautiful moments: an idyllic stay in Jakar and a trip to Kunzangdrak Gompa in the Tang Valley (for us, like a miniature Tiger Nest), the atmosphere of the Punakha Tshechu Festival, Taktsang Gompa (Tiger Nest), and an absolute hit - the charming and quiet Pobjikha Valley and the observation of Black Neck Cranes. And the trip ended with a traditional Bhutanese herbal bath in a wooden bathtub. We definitely want to go back there.
