Bhutan entry rules amid COVID-19

Entry rules

  • Both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers are permitted entry without quarantine.
  • No PCR test is required for entry, however incoming travelers might be randomly selected for monitoring PCR test.
  • Travel health insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation, and accidental permanent injury is required. We recommend Trawick International which includes all required and can be fixed in a few clicks.
  • Land borders are open for entry. However, as of now, only Indian tourists can enter from Samdrup Jongkhar, Gelephu, and Samtse borders. International visitor can only use Phuntsholing as of now.
